VOICE IC (MC93CV401, 402) are released.

Based on the 8051 Core + DSP technology, MC93CV40x series provides
not only ADPCM Codec but also SPEEX Codec (one of CELP series)
what was not provided by other 8bit voice ICs.
SPEEX codec is more complex to apply but it can provide more
efficient compression ratio and good quality in comparison with

COMBI / New LCD / 12 bit ADC - close to be released

ABOV’s new devices are scheduled to be released in the second half of 2008.
Especially ABOV starts to use the term ‘COMBI’ for new MCUs which has EERPOM internally.
And ‘New LCD MCU’, and more compact and cost efficient ‘12 bit ADC MCU’ are close to be released.

ABOV's website has been renewed. With new design, some features are added for customer's usability.
At the Tech.Info section, you can see some 'Guide' documents
which describes major features of ABOV's MCU and check lists for selection.
And you can see all update histories of our documents and development tools at News section.

Compiler v3 (beta) released |

hms800C, a 'C' compiler for 800 core is upgraded from v2 to v3.
Version 3 is a size-optimized version. So it will provides shrunken code size.
But please realize that this is a beta verion. So when you recompile your old code which was developed on the previous compiler, you must retest your application. |

PGM Plus USB is released

PGM Plus USB is released. It is a next version of PGM Plus, one of ABOV's writing tools.
PGM Plus USB is more small and fast than previous PGM Plus. And It uses a USB interface. So it is possible to write a number of MCUs at once by combinig several PGM Plus USB. We call it 'gang mode'.
With the 'gang mode', it is possible to write together up to 4 MCUs. |
